I placed the order for my wedding invitations last week or late the week before.....I can't quite remember. They were shipped out on Thursday, 1/28/10. I'm so excited. It took me a while to figure out exactly how to do them since I'm doing 2 completely separate events for the ceremony and reception. I picked out invitations very unique for the ceremony and decided I loved them so much, I wanted everyone to have them. I originally wanted to two separate sets of invitations so that no one confused the dates....especially those invited to the ceremony but who can't make it. But since pretty much everyone is going, I decided that it will be easy to get around the confusion.
I also contacted the photograper that I'm using for the Austin reception and since she is still starting up her business and getting her website going, she said she would do bridals for free since they need more bridals for her website. I wasn't even going to have bridals done because I thought it was a waste money. I was, instead, going to wait til after the wedding and reception and hire a photographer to do a "trash the dress" session and literally trash my dress! I got the idea for the photographer I'm using in the Dominican Republic and it looks sooooo fun!
I have my appointment to have my dress fitted on April 10, meeting with my photographer on March 11, I have already done most of my registry, the bridesmaid dresses are ordered, ordered the groomsman gifts, etc. The only things I really have left to do are things I can't do until it's gets closer.
And for the fun part......only 4.5 months until I'm a married woman!!! I can't believe it.
