I've done 24 Camp several times, all with different instructors (my favorite is Domingo who teaches on Monday nights at 6:30 at Wm Cannon West). I went Tuesday morning at 5:30 am and I don't remember the lady's name who teaches on Tuesday mornings but she was terrible!!! Needless to say....I'm never going back on Tuesday morning. This is why I think (and I'm not alone in thinking these things) she was a bad instructor:
- She didn't give alternatives to "not so friendly" on the knee moves. Not all of us have the strongest knees
- When she actually did give an alternative (after she saw me stop and hold my knee), she used the phrase, "If you do not WANT to do this exercise........". Hey lady....this has NOTHING to do with WANT. I physically cannot do it. Isn't this class for all fitness levels?
- Too cardio intensive. I have done a boot camp every year for the last 4 years. NONE of them focus soley on cardio. She tries to make it so you can barely breathe before moving on to strength.......uh really lady? REAL boot camps have a happy combination of cardio and strength all mixed together. Domingo on Monday nights is very good at this. Maybe you should attend his class.
- Instead of being encouraging, she was a little condescending.
Ok....that's really it. It doesn't sound like a lot but for the entire hour I was in there, I was thinking how I need to blog about how much this sucks. Ha!
